This policy explains how Burlington Roofing Experts (“we”) handles personal information collected through burlingtonroofingexperts.com. It describes this website as it is actually built and configured. It is written to be read, not skimmed past.

Who we are and how to reach us

What we collect

Information you give us

When you submit the estimate form, we collect what you enter:

• Contact information — your name and phone number (required), email address (optional) and preferred contact method.
• Property and service information — property street address, city and ZIP (all optional), the roofing service you are asking about, and your message.
• Your consent choices — that you agreed to be contacted about your request, recorded as submitted.

The property address is optional. If you give it, we use it to understand the property and prepare for an assessment. We never ask for a Social Security number, driver’s licence, date of birth, financial account details or other sensitive information, and you should not include any in the message box.

Information sent with a form submission

So we can tell where an enquiry came from, a form submission also carries information about the visit: the page you submitted from and its title, the page you first landed on in that browser session, the referring website, any marketing campaign parameters in the link you followed (UTM parameters and ad click identifiers such as gclid, gbraid, wbraid, fbclid or msclkid), which call-to-action you used, and the municipality page you were reading, if any. If — and only if — you have allowed Analytics cookies, the random visitor and session identifiers described below are included too.

Information collected when you allow Analytics

If you allow Analytics in our cookie settings, our measurement provider Roof Leads Center records website interaction data: pages viewed, clicks on phone and email links (a record that a link was tapped, not that a call connected — we do not record calls), clicks on estimate buttons, that a form was started or submitted, the referrer and campaign parameters, device and browser type, screen size, language, coarse location derived from network information, and a one-way hash of your IP address. It sets a random visitor identifier and a session identifier in your browser. It does not fingerprint your device and does not receive anything you type into the form. If you do not allow Analytics, none of this is collected.

Information collected automatically for operation and security

Like any website, our hosting provider processes technical request data — IP address, browser user agent and the page requested — to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. Our form endpoint uses your IP address, briefly and in memory only, to limit repeated submissions.

Why we use it

• To respond to your roofing enquiry and provide the estimate, assessment or contact you asked for.
• To manage enquiries and any resulting work in our customer management system.
• To operate, secure and prevent abuse of this website, including spam and fraud prevention on the form.
• To improve our service and website, using analytics — only where you have allowed it.
• To understand which pages and campaigns lead to enquiries (campaign attribution).
• To meet legal, tax and record-keeping obligations and to establish or defend legal claims.

Agreeing to be contacted about your roofing request is permission to respond to that request. It is not permission to send you promotional marketing, marketing text messages, or automated or prerecorded calls, and we do not treat it as such. If we ever offer promotional communications, we will ask separately, with an unticked box, and you can decline without affecting your request.

Who processes it

We use these service providers, each acting on our behalf:

• Roof Leads Center (roofleadscenter.com) — our customer management and lead system, which stores form submissions and, if you allow Analytics, website interaction data.
• Vercel — website hosting and delivery.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. No advertising or remarketing pixels are used on this website. We may disclose information where the law requires it, or to a successor if the business is transferred.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for as long as they are needed to respond to you and to carry out and support any work that follows, and afterwards for as long as legal, tax, contractual and business record-keeping obligations require. Analytics identifiers in your browser can be removed at any time by withdrawing consent or clearing site data. Your cookie choice itself is kept for 180 days before we ask again.

Your choices and rights

• Cookies and analytics — change your choice at any time with the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer.
• Global Privacy Control — we honour the GPC signal as an opt-out of targeted advertising and of any sale or sharing of personal information.
• Access, correction and deletion — you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to records we are legally required to keep.
• Marketing opt-out — you can tell us at any time not to contact you for marketing, including by phone or text, and we will record that preference.

Visit Your Privacy Choices or submit a privacy request. To protect you, we verify requests before acting on them — usually by confirming through contact details we already hold — and we never disclose personal information to someone we cannot verify. You may use an authorised agent where the law allows. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. Where New Jersey or other state privacy law applies to us, you have the rights it provides, including the right to appeal a decision on your request by replying to our response.

Security

The site is served only over HTTPS. Form submissions go from our own server to our customer management system over an encrypted, authenticated connection; the credential that allows this is kept on the server and never sent to your browser. Access to enquiry records is limited to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the information we hold.

Children

This website is intended for adults arranging roofing work. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change, and change the date at the top. If we materially change how we use cookies or tracking technologies, we will ask for your consent again.
